Agraulis vanillae flies from the Carribean down to Brasil and Argentina, it even flies in the Galapagos ; subspecies A. v. lucina flies in Western Brasil, Peru and Ecuador (d’Abrera 1981).
on the upperside A. v. lucina is very different from Agraulis vanillae other subspecies, and looks pretty much like Dione juno, but this does not stand for the underside.
