thanks to Ernst Brockmann and Nick Grishin we now have DNA barcoding for some butterflies of this Genus, and we know that this butterfly (individual variation #3), collected near San Isidro, is Narcosius nazaraeus, as well as the specimens the genitalia of which have been studied and which come from San Isidro and Mendez.


nevertheless we have another Narcosius nazaraeus specimen, from Mendez, with a rather different DNA, and that we present on the Narcosius nazaraeus 1 slide (see new facts page).
