Ithomeis mimica is a species with many ssp ; it flies in Amazonia.
we saw it at rio Shankaime (900 m) and near Palora ; these specimens are not very different from Ithomeis aurantiaca mimica although they have much less black and wider hyaline areas (see pictures on individual variation page).
