wingspan : 68/75 mm
in a small area at rio Pastaza and South of Puyo, 900 m, we found Heliconius melpomene malletti (Heliconius melpomene plesseni f. mimetica in Holzinger, p. 115). this species usually flies at elevations of less than 1000/1100 meters, but we also collected it at 1350 m.
