Leodonta chiriquensis flies from Panama to Bolivia, on both sides of the Andes; it is rather common. it is a butterfly that visit flowers.
in Sangay NP it is to be found in many places : in the Baños/Puyo corridor, in the 9 de Octubre area, and along rio Paute.
