wingspan : 45/50 mm.
Perisama bomplandii flies from Venezuela to Northern Peru (Attal & Crosson du Cormier 1996), it is the largest of all Perisama. there are many forms (or subspecies ?) of P. bomplandii.
up to now, in the Sangay NP, we found form ultramarina in the Baños/Puyo Corridor (above 1300 meters) and near 9 de Octubre (1700 meters)
