we saw Ladda ticidas at el Retiro, 1900 m ;
we caught several specimens when this species is known exclusively from Peru and Bolivia. we saw it again in 2015, but at 2900 m.
this butterfly may be quitie variable.
with time the HW orange patch turns yellow.
