wingspan : male 40/43, female 47 mm
Hypanartia kefersteinii flies from Mexico to Bolivia. it lives from sea level up to elevations of 2000 meters and more.
in the Park we always saw it at elevations of 1500/1800 m, at Machay, near 9 de Octubre and at rio Paute.
