the taxonomy of the Emesis from the lucinda group is quite unclear.
in Sangay NP, at elevations of no more than 1000 meters, we collected a series of Emesis from this group with :
- slightly rounded wings,
- upperside almost blue,
- underside postdiscal bands brown, and not black (males only)
we believe them to be Emesis condigna.
