Lasiophila orbifera flies from Ecuador down to Northern Argentina (d’Abrera 1988), in Ecuador it is subspecies Lasiophila orbifera intercepta.
in the Sangay we saw it near Rio Negro, near Guarumales, and at Runtun, 2600 m ; it normally flies between 1400 and 2200 meters (TWP).
