Catasticta reducta flies from Ecuador to Bolivia with several subspecies the systematics of which are not very clear ; in Ecuador we have the type-subspecies C. r. reducta.
in Sangay NP we found it on the Eastern limits of the Park (South of Macas), near 9 de Octubre, along rio Paute and near Rio Negro and Machay, but usually simpletons.
