we found Neopedaliodes michaeli citrica in Cañar, near Zhud, and at las Culebrillas.

it would seem that Neopedaliodes michaeli michaeli, with its very narrow yellow bands, flies on the "Avenue of the Volcanoes" as it was named by Alexander von Humboldt, while Neopedaliodes michaeli citrica, wider bands, flies on the Western slopes.

this species is so variable on both upper and underside, that we present on this slide the upperside individual variations only, and, on slide 605, the underside variations.
