we're supposed to have two ssp of Dynamine paulina, the nominal (Brasil and Peru, and East of the Andes in Ecuador ?), and thalassina (from Guatemala to Colombia, and West of the Andes in Ecuador ?) ; as often this specimen does not match either one, and has a bit of both.
when we had found this species at Selva Alegre (Esmeraldas) in 2013, Keith Willmott had informed us that it probably was a new record for Ecuador.
