the taxonomy of the Emesis from the lucinda group is quite unclear.
in Sangay NP, at elevations between 1000 and 1400 meters, we collected a series of Emesis from this group with :
- fore wings almost straight,
- upperside almost green
- underside postdiscal bands black and not brown (males only).
we believe them to be Emesis castigata.
