Mimoides euryleon flies from Costa Rica to Ecuador where live two subspecies, one East and one West of the Andes. the Eastern subspecies, Mimoides euryleon anatmus, is rather uncommon, and flies at elevations of 600 to 1600 meters (Bollino & Onore 2001).


we saw a very few males at Colonia Azuaya, then we saw another one at San Isidro and Adrian Bariou took a picture at Parroquia Sinaï ; this species is quite variable.
