this picture taken by Karen Yukich in the upper Pastaza valley clearly shows an Arzecla paralus, even if this species is said to fly only from Guatemala to Venezuela ; and David Geale took a picture of an identical butterfly down in Bolivia.
it looks like a poorly known species, on BoA only the type (a female) and a drawing from 1891 are ilustrated.
