Heliconius xanthocles flies in the Amazon basin; subspecies zamora flies in the Southern half of Ecuador.
seen near the Pastaza bridge and at San Isidro, but seen flying along with H. xanthocles napoensis, the subspecies that flies in the Northern half of Ecuador !
