like all Corades, Corades iduna peruviana (formerly Corades peruviana) is a mountain butterfly which lives between 2000 and perhaps 3500 meters in the Andes of Ecuador and Peru.
it is not a rare butterfly, but, in the Park, we didn't see many, a first one at the el Tambo entrance, at 2700 meters. in 2008 we saw a few at Runtun, 2500 m, and near Zholay, 2900 m, then at rio Ashilan, 2900 m, and eventually two in the upper rio Paute valley.
