we found this Panoquina sp near Mendez, but its identification is a kind of riddle :
- on Evans this butterfly keys out at "grapte",
- but it has no purple hue, typical of grapte,
possibilities could be : Panoquina sp, Panoquina pauper ssp, Panoquina grapte ssp... the taxonomy of the Genus Panoquina is highly uncertain.
the second specimen could belong to a different but almost identical species :
- subapical dots,
- HW white band,
- genitalia.
