four ssp or forms of H. melpomene fly in Sangay NP : H. m. plesseni, H. m. ecuadorensis, H. m. malletti and H. m. plesseni f. mimetica,
they're clearly supposed to be parapatric, but, in one area South of Puyo, they all fly together, giving birth to all kinds of mixed forms.
we present a sample of these forms, by "pattern" ; here, an amazing pattern, when all traditional f/ssp have light discal and subapical patches on the FW, this particular form is the only one to have none.
