Catasticta eurigania flies in Peru and Ecuador; the Ecuadorian subspecies is C. e. eurigania (d’Abrera 1981).
it is a common butterfly, and in Sangay NP it can be seen in the Baños/Puyo corridor, near 9 de Octubre, and at San Isidro.
the female is rare, as is the case for nearly all Catastictas.
