we saw this Ithomiola near 9 de Octubre, at 1600 m, and at Machay and Guarumales, 1900 m
if we rely on the pictures in Jason Hall paper (1995), and on those from butterfliesofamerica, the male and female above should be Ithomiola tanos, which is said to fly between 1500 and 2000 meters.
these three species Ithomiola orpheus, tanos and bajotanos are just undistinguishable, but fly at different elevations.
