Leptophobia subargentea pastaza seems not to fly above 2000 meters.


sometimes fairly abundant in the Baños/Puyo corridor, present also near 9 de Octubre, at Sardinayacu and rio Paute.


on butterfliesofamerica you'll find this butterfly under the L. philoma pastaza name, subargentea having been synonimised wth philoma years ago.


but obviously nobody told the butterflies as L. philoma philoma and so called L. philoma pastaza keep flying together all over Ecuador Oriente, from Baeza down to Zamora.
