we collected this Pyrrhopyge sp at San Isidro ; it looks exactly like P. papius and P. melanomerus, but the DNA barcoding tells us it is not one of these two species, it is a new species or subspecies.
eventually the genitalia study convinced Ernst Brockmann and Bernard Hermier that it is Pyrrhopyge decipiens, a quite uncommon species.
