Euselasia fabia seen near Puyo, Pablo Sexto and Sucúa ; females are very scarce.
one hundred years ago a ssp of fabia has been described from the Macas area, ssp marcida, charaterised by an UN a plain orange with no markings, and particularly no discal line.
we found a very few specimens which match this description, but they were flying with regular fabia, so we would think that marcida is nothing more than an individual form - see first and third bottom pictures and individual variation # 4.
