Hypothyris euclea are a nightmare ; over twenty subspecies in the butterfliesofamerica database, and this one is missing !
this butterfly, collected South of Puyo, is obviously between H. e. caldasensis from Colombia, and H. e. calanga from Peru ; we found a few females, but only one male.
