wingspan : 85/95 mm
Elzunia humboldt is not scarce, but very localized.
we saw two specimens near Rio Negro, quite a few along rio Paute and more at Quebrada Cugusha, all between 1700 and 2000 meters.
only the Rio Negro specimens are ssp coxeyi, this subspecies seems to fly exclusively in the upper Pastaza valley.
