Charonias eurytele is a rather variable species which is said to fly from Guatemala to Ecuador. in Ecuador flies the type-subspecies Ch. e. eurytele
which also is variable. it is a low country butterfly, and it gets close to the Park near rio Pastaza and near Sucúa.
the female is larger than the male, and scarce.
