we found Epargyreus spinta (identified by Ernst Brockmann), near Puyo, Macas and Mendez.
with E. spina it is the commonest species in this area.
the white markings under the HW of Epargyreus spinta are extremely variable, as they are for nearly all Epargyreus species.
