we found these Neopedaliodes michaeli in numbers, near Zholay, at 3200 m, and at la Libertad.
we suspect that there could be some confusion between ssp michaeli and ssp innupta, both having very narrow and sometimes broken yellow bands.
this species is so variable on both upper and underside, that we present on this slide the upperside individual variations only, and, on slide 1019, the underside variations.
