we found Epargyreus socus, identified by Ernst Brockmann, near Puyo.
we have doubts as to wether the female is "socus dicta or something else ?
the bottom butterflies may be socus ? at least they belong to the exadeus group (Bernard Hermier pers. com.).
the white markings under the HW of Epargyreus socus are extremely variable, as they are for nearly all Epargyreus species.
