Pterourus zagreus flies from Venezuela to Bolivia, East of the Andes, usually between 600 and 800 m (Bollino & Onore 2001) ; in Ecuador it is not common except in september and october.
seen at rio Shankaime, rìo Tutamangosa, at San Isidro, and East of Mendez.
