one of the largest Catastictas, Catasticta anaitis flies in the Oriente in Ecuador ; it is a common butterfly.
it can be seen in Sangay NP, in the Baños/Puyo corridor, near 9 de Octubre, and along rio Paute. one day in november we saw an amazing number of males at el Corral (Rio Negro).
the female is extremely rare, as is the case for many Catastictas.
