wingspan : male 33, female 38 mm
we were positive these butterflies were Splendeuptychia ashna ; but Blanca Huertas tells us they're not.
as a matter of fact they belong to a similar looking but new and undescribed species ;
found near Macas, Palora and photographed near Rio Negro.
