wingspan : male 28/32, female 27/29 mm
these Colias collected at 3300/3400 m perfectly match the types of Colias euxanthe alticola.
but today there is a consensus that alticola is a distinct species and not a subspecies of Colias euxanthe, as, obviously :
- males are completely different from any male C. euxanthe, but look rather close to some males C. lesbia, particularly in the FW general shape,
- females are completely different from any female C. euxanthe, but also from any female C. lesbia.
