in Sangay NP we have Altopedaliodes nucea and Altopedaliodes tena which, until 1999, were thought to be two subspecies of Altopedaliodes tena, the distribution of which was :
- A. t. tena, from the North down to, at least, Osogoche et Cubillin, and
- A. t. nucea, in the South, near las Culebrillas.
we found A. nucea at las Culebrillas, la Libertad and at Laguna Suitococha.
