Eresia pelonia is a butterfly from the Amazon basin ; males may have four different forms.
we saw f. pelonia at rio Pastaza and rio Shankaime, 900m, and near Puyo.
today it is considered to be a ssp, but it flies along with E. pelonia f. ithomiola between Puyo and rio Pastaza.
