Siproeta epaphus flies from Mexico to Brasil (d’Abrera 1987). it is a common but conspicuous and beautiful butterfly ;
in Sangay NP we saw it between 800 and 1700 meters ; but in other parts, at sea level particularly in Mexico, and at 3100 m in Southern Ecuador.
