we only saw Callicore lyca on the Eastern fringes of the Park; in february 2011 it was flying in great numbers near río Palora.
Callicore lyca has ten subspecies, it is Callicore lyca bella which flies in Ecuador Oriente.
C. lyca is better known under its former name C. aegina.
