we collected a few Astraptes chiriquensis on the Eastern limits of Sangay NP.
they look rather like A. ch. meretrix, but with visible differences ; it is not impossible that some of the individual variations, or some of the live pictures, would represent different species.
all these Astraptes chiriquensis males come from San Isidro.
