normally flies in Ecuador Dircenna loreta loreta, which is almost impossible to tell from D. l. melini from Peru. seen at 1000 meters or less, near Puyo, Logroño, Mendez and by rio Shankaime.
Dircenna loreta looks like Dircenna dero from which it can be separated on the basis of the ventral lines, yellow or white, on the abdomen (bottom pictures).
